A lot of the intricate detail won´t be seen until the pieces are put together, rewarding the puzzlers with surprises as they work to complete this challenge. The artwork used in creating Life came from many earlier paintings by the artist. These were mainly airbrush works painted between 1990 and 2006. Elements from the paintings were taken out and then recomposed into this one bold statement LIFE.

This puzzle was really fun. It took me about 120 hours to finish. I'm currently gluing it together in 1000-piece sections. The puzzle comes in four 6000-piece bags. One thing that helps is that every 1000-piece section is identical, shape-wise, so that when you are working on a hard section (where all the pieces are the same color), you can match up shapes with a previously-done section. This made some of the water areas more manageable. The puzzle is beautiful, and I can't wait to get it up on the wall. I'll put the 24 1000-piece sections together after I glue each one. Yes, I have a 14 foot stretch of wall space!
